Yacht Charter

To charter a yacht means to rent a sailboat or motor yacht. These vessels are traditionally used to travel across the ocean, visiting different islands or coastal locations usually during a vacation. Yacht chartering is usually very expensive, and the activity is generally relegated to the wealthy upper class that can afford such luxury.

Companies that provide chartered yachts for individuals can oftentimes provide a "Skipper" to command the vessel if the party cannot provide one for themselves. Luxury yachts can also provide an entire paid staff, including a captain, a chef, a steward/stewardess and several other crew members.
